Look this one: aage is aged
At atarimania can see some details: amania is not aged
Anyone said: devil is in details ?
From my own experience: using STE DMA audio instead PSG (partially) digitized sound may improve graphic frame rate little. But it depends from other things too - how video displaying code is done.
Well, usual advice is: believe own eyes instead what you can read on Internet. Or it was same some 30-40 years ago, except instead 'Internet' it was TV or press :-)

And the show goes on ...    "Atari formatted drive"
Of course it depends from SW used. And Atari ST TOS does not have any hard disk 'formatting' - need to use external programs. Atari self made some back in 80-es.
Here can see relevant details about:  Atari ST mass storage
Of course, at that so 'great' forum will not see links to my pages. Instead it threads where write that my hard disk driver SW destroys UltraSatan adapters, that I stole ULS code 'byte by byte' , and like . And does anyone there care about how absurd and irrealistic this claims are ? I did not see it.
SW can not destroy HW, if it is bad will not work as should, and worst what can happen is some data loss on storage media (disks, SD cards).  ULS has no any code, solutions for Atari ST SW, games which use TOS function calls - for file access in first place . And I knew already that it is majority of games - some 2/3 (66 %) . ULS is only for games using own disk code. And now, after experience with about 3000 games I can confirm that ratio.
I made lot of supporting programs, code libraries, TOS mods for running it in RAM . And even working on hard disk partitioner/driver SW was very useful for game adaptations for hard disks (now rather SD cards).
So, this is extremely bad what happens on that shit forum. Admin is creten, and that's why he likes cretenic posts , and bans people who dare to point on bad things there.
