Title: Operation Stealh
Post by: tophe38 on 18-01-2023, 18:59:45
Hi,

2 stuff to reports about your HD adaptation:
* On Operation Stealh page (https://atari.8bitchip.info/ASTGA/O/opsteal.php), the first download link, for Original French version seems broken (404)
* This game support MT32 music output. To switch between Internal to MT32, a setup program should be launch (FILES/INSTALL.PRG). When I switch to MT32, the game stop (black screen) just before cinematic. If I switch to internal, the start work correctly. I try the french version (I will try and report English version).

Thanks.

 Hi,

I updated that file - OpStealthOrgFr.ZIP - from some reason it got lost - maybe because couple host migrations.
Support for MT32 music output is hard to achieve without that device. That would need some extra research.

Hi PP,

Thanks for fixing the link.
MT32 output is "simply" sending MIDI command to MIDI out port. So, the game should run without something on midi port (only out port is in use, no return expected).
Other games that support MT32 music output (like Sierra's Police Quest series) work fine.

I'll check the ST floppy version of Operation Stealh, and back to you.

Thanks
