Title: Hard disk image file with all adapts project
Post by: Petari on 25-11-2011, 13:55:55
I plan to publish in next half year image with all game adapts done by me. I count that it will be about 600 of them. It will fit on 1GB medias, hard disks - there will be some space saving by using common files from lib. dirs instead having them with all games.
I need to do lot of improvings for many games done before 2009 - adding gamex, TT support etc. Plus other things.
Including some kind of validation of existing adaptations. Many are already tested thoroughly, played until and - marked with C in DL table. But there is a lot of not tested well, or at least I did not get any feedbacks.
So, here is a chance to contrubute:  send here, or e-mail me with testing results, so I can fix possible problems.
You don't need to pay for Hddriver, bother with it's settings, wait on slow loading, depacking - combination of my hard disk driver and GOS results in fast loadings even on machines with only 1MB RAM.
Then we will have a really nice collection of best Atari ST games, playable from 1 gramm heavy SD card  :)

It will include small program, what will add (empty) partitions for larger hard disks, medias. Count - as many 512MB partitions fit, + remaining space for last one.

Fantastic .. so bigger size cards is better.. free space/partitions is usefully
one question : what is the biggest size GB (Sd) can be use with Ultrasatadisk? impossible 8GB or 16?

I tried max 4GB. You better ask Jookie about max SD card size usable. And 8 GB is in fact max, what is wise.
Because of max 14 x 512MB partitions. And 8GB is never 8GB, but little less, about 7.5 GB.
But even 1GB is pretty well usable, especially if you can fast transfer files from/to PC.
Not to mention fact that writing images of large cards takes time and space.
