Limit of driver is 2048 GB - what is limit of partition tables too (AHDI and DOS type).
So, it depends from UltraSatan and HxSD card limits in fact.  As I remember, 8GB is tested by Jookie.

For TOS1.02 the limited is 256MBx14 = 4GB right?

Correct.  And I think that it is enough for all needs.
But TOS 1.02 is not recommended for hard disk usage because potential problems, and possible data loss in some circumstances.
So, do upgrade to TOS 1.04 .

I would like to pay via Paypal, but if not I'm sure some other way would be ok. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the partitioner!

I believe that PayPal is good. But it requires bank account. And banks here take too much provisions for every simple transfer (maybe not only here) . It seems that we have no better choice .  New saying:  only 3 things are sure:  death, taxes and banks will take your money  :)

Hello everybody !

I sent an email to Petari but, after that,I have seen this forum and it is surely the right place to ask my question: how to buy and download this driver and partitioner ?
These softwares would be very useful for my satandisk and my megaSTe with HD inside.

I saw that a solution has never been found to product the IDE interface for cartridge port (as Lotharek with HxC floppy emulator)... it is a bad situation for persons who are not electronic specialits. And yet this IDE interface seems to be the best solution (and the fastest).

Thanks.

PS: if Paypal is a big problem, I can put a banknote in an envelope if you accept money... the risk is not so high for 10€ (but i never send you 10 times 10 €  ;) )

moneybookers is other good choice ..

Ok, I can use a gas factory as this moneybrookers thing... but I prefer my unsecured but so simple solution (take some money from my pocket, put it in an envelop, and send this one to its destination).

But How other people have paid this software available since one year ?

I have the same question for project CATA: 2 years since the announce ... if there is no way to pay for its production, I did not find schema to build the object (I know friend having right tools to build it).

I am very impatient to see the real availability of these products.

I hope this is not an unpopular suggestion: Add the bank fees ($) to the price of the SW.

Yes. It may be case - although I really don't like that.

I need to solve this somehow, so will work on it next days.

add bank fee to price...

- will your harddisk driver (you should give it some name :D) work with original Atari MegaFile 30 (ASCI cable)?

- and is it possible to format ext2 or minix partition for MiNT or FAT32 for MagiC?

Good news:  finally can accept payments via PayPal .  Updated drivers, so there is hot-swap support for UltraSatan now.
Price is still 10 Euros.

Yes, must create complete new, free partitions. My TOS/DOS compatible system is not same as by Hddriver.

At which version Hddriver supports multiple TOS/DOS partitions ? Maybe there is a chance to make compatible driver with it - but I need to take a look first in structures.

I think that version 7 already supported multiple TOS/DOS partitions.

So with your driver you can have all partition DOS compatible AND bootable at same time??

It would be rather around version 8.3  .

Hddriver is DOS compatible and bootable with ACSI drives, but not with IDE drives. Mine is bootable with IDE too.

But what we talk here is using existing partitioning, without loosing data,  with another driver. It may be not simple, and in some cases not possible.  You can not make AHDI partitioning to DOS one.

IMHO best is to copy all data, files on some other drive, then making new partitioning, and copy files back on drive.
It has additional benefit that will cleanup (from possible accumulated errors) and defragment disk .
Even better is not to delete after it files from drive used as temporary space - but leave them as backup  :)

Yes, updates are free for all registered users. I will send them automatically, when there are more done, or if something important is fixed.  And of course, if someone needs it - immediately.

Good news:  I solved handle of Hddriver's TOS/Windows (DOS) compatible partitions . If such is inserted as second card in US partitions will be mounted.
Will post update to reg. users with some others too in few days .

It is possible even to install my driver on such media (Hddriver multiple parts. TOS/DOS compatible) .

Working on updates:  will be possible to install driver on AHDI parititioned disks too - so users must not repartition old disks/medias (what goes with loosing data, or need to backup them before partit.)  . Of course, in such case can not access such disk on PC directly, only via some util. like Drive Image.
