Title: Blood Money problem
Post by: Official Ninja on 30-03-2012, 23:11:47
I was playing Blood Money, 16Mhz, Unlimited lives.
I finished the 1st area and pressed / to save the game state.
Problem is every key I press after that, on the keyboard or controller saves another game state.
I wound up with GS00 - GS08 before I quit. :-)
I was going to attach the 1st save but it doesnt look like I can here.
I can email to you if you want.

I will examine it and other things you mentioned. But currently in middle of moving, so may take week or more.

Finally I was able to do some tests on real Atari machines.
Tested Blood Money savestates on Mega STE and TT.  Error happened only once on TT. And even then, it worked fine after one additional save by restoring state. So, it will be not easy to track down, I guess.  So, best send me problematic statesave via e-mail .

Considering 8-16 MHz switchings on MSTE: it is in fact very simple to switch CPU clock (+cache). You press M and after it 1 or 2 for 8 or 16 MHz. Then only when press Enter will activate change. Launcher will show correct MHz and 8>16 if launcher is started with 8 MHz.  I guess that Control Panel , what is ACC certainly interfers with launcher's settings and it makes confusion.  I recommend to not using it, since I can not disable ACC and control it's behaviour .  It likely forces freq. set before launcher start in background all time (as ACC usually does). I never used it on MSTE.
But you can post me that MSTE Control panel too, if want. Maybe take a look into.
